According to current technology, a smartwatch or fitness tracker should include a battery that needs to be constantly charged and replaced at the end of battery life.



However, with this technology, it will not be necessary to insert a battery into such a device, and the thermoelectric generator will continue to supply power to the device.

Researchers predict that the device will be able to hit the market in 5 or 10 years after making some design connections.
