Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Facebook, and Will Cathcart, the head of WhatsApp at wabetain about the multi-device feature that allows WhatsApp users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices at once, and the ability to automatically delete content sent via WhatsApp at once. They reveal that this has been confirmed in an ongoing conversation.
Speaking of connecting multiple devices simultaneously for WhatsApp, this new feature is expected to be very different from the WhatsApp Web feature.
As Mark Zuckerberg points out, the Multi-device feature allows you to use the same WhatsApp account on up to 4 devices at once, in which case the main device does not need to be connected to the Internet to use other devices.
Mark Zuckerberg further stated that the end-to-end encryption feature is still valid even after providing the facility to use WhatsApp account on multiple devices at once and it was technically a big challenge for them in providing this facility.
WhatsApp, an instant messaging service used by over 2 billion people worldwide, is set to further enhance its recently-disappeared feature and make it possible for one-on-one content to be invisible once viewed.
This feature is called "View Once" and it is reported that this will be added to the WhatsApp Beta version soon.
