Many features on Instagram, including key functions such as creating and editing posts, are limited to the Instagram mobile version, and users are not able to do so via the Instagram website for the desktop.

However, app analyst Alessandro Paluzzi points out that Instagram is currently working on enabling the ability to create posts through the Instagram website for desktops, as shown in the images posted by him on his twitter account. You will see a new plus button at the top of the site's navigation bar.

After clicking on the plus button, a window will appear where you can upload the photos you want to post and after uploading the photos you will get the aspect ratio of square (1: 1), portrait (4: 5) and landscape (16: 9). Has also given the ability to crop those photos from.

Then, as in the Instagram mobile version, you can use the filters you like, add a caption, tag people and enter location information.

According to Paluzzi, this feature is already being tested internally and no information on a more widely available date has yet been reported.
