Nvidia now owns ARM, which was once owned by Japan's SoftBank, and companies such as Qualcomm, Microsoft and Google are reportedly protesting the deal.

Through this transaction, Nvidia will have full ownership of the designs and technologies, including the ARM architecture that ARM possessed, thereby interfering with the competitiveness of other companies, and may even block the use of other companies' ARM intellectual property if necessary at some point.  Points out that there is.

However, at the time of the transaction, Nvidia had made it clear that it would not affect the current ARM licensing model.

In the face of this opposition, it is reported that Nvidia is reviewing the deal to buy ARM by US, UK, China and European Union antitrust authorities.

However, no official decision has been taken by the relevant authorities so far and more details will be available in the next few months.
